Our Professional Lambda C-type and Giclée Fine Art Printing services offer a multitude of paper options – which we know can be a little overwhelming – so here are our main paper types explained:

Lambda C-type Papers:

We only use the highest grade archival materials to produce your Lambda C-type print and carry stock of the following Fujicolour papers and display printing materials:

Fujicolor Crystal Archive Paper – Available in Gloss, Matte

Fujicolour Crystal Archive Paper is a silver halide colour paper designed to produce the highest quality results for both analogue and digital c-type printers and available in Gloss and Matte; each paper in the Crystal Archive paper range offers brilliant whites, vivid colour reproduction and excellent image stability – which is why this paper range has become the industry standard for professional photographic c-type prints.

Fuji’s Crystal Archive range of papers incorporates the latest silver halide emulsion technology, coupler technology and layer design technology. The paper range offers excellent archival stability. Both exhibit high image stability during high long-term darkness and excellent light storage condition, alongside storability concerning nitrogen oxide, ozone and other gases.

Fujicolor Crystal Archive Paper – Pearl

Fujicolor Crystal Archive Digital Pearl Paper is a silver halide colour paper with a unique pearl-like, metallic silver iridescent appearance, thick base and high stiffness. The embedded pearl-like crystals in the paper provide a high-gloss reflectance, especially evident in the highlights of an image. The paper boasts pearl mica pigments – based on natural mica; these are covered with a thin layer of metal oxides (for example, titanium dioxide), yielding silver-white and metallic reflectance effects through an interplay of transparency, reflection and the coating of the paper.

Fujicolor Pearl paper incorporates ARR Technology, an advance over the previous RR Technology, which has been incorporated to suppress colour paper fogging, ensuring the purity of whites in unexposed areas.

Fujiflex Crystal Archive Printing Material

Fujiflex Crystal Archive Printing Material is a silver halide colour printing material with a high gloss, or ‘super gloss’ finish, designed exclusively for digital output on large-format laser printers, offering a wide tonal range with wide colour gamut, vibrant colour reproduction and high maximum density, deep blacks.

Due to its PET (polyester) base, Fujiflex Crystal Archive Printing Material produces prints with exceptional clarity that are superbly smooth and flat with a sharp, transparent super-gloss mirror-like finish.

Fujitrans Display Material

Fujitrans Display Printing Material is a white translucent base colour print material produced for digital laser c-type printers to produce translucent colour display prints – often used in light boxes. Fujitrans offers an extremely wide range of gradiation setup and creates images with rich saturation across the entire colour spectrum and improved details reproduction over a large area.

Due to its PET (polyester) base, Fujitrans Display Printing Material produces prints with exceptional clarity that are superbly smooth and flat with a sharp, translucent gloss finish.

Fujiclear Display Printing Material

Fujiclear Display Material is a laser-exposure-optimised clear-base colour print material produced for digital laser c-type printers to produce transparent colour display prints. When exposed using laser light on laser printers (such as our Durst Lambda digital C-type printer), the material produces high-quality transparent colour prints with natural and more vibrant colour reproduction of red, green, blue and yellow, resulting in a high chroma finish.

Due to its PET (polyester) base, Fujiclear Display Printing Material produces prints with exceptional clarity that are superbly smooth and flat with a sharp, transparent gloss finish.
