The Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize awards £9,000 of prizes & exhibitions to artists that show significant potential, interesting ideas, a relevant message and skillful execution. Ashurst’s aim in sponsoring the Emerging Artist Prize and Emerging Artist Programme is to find, build and support the careers of talented international emerging artists and get their art seen by a wider audience. For the 2019 edition of the prize, 2 new awards have been launched – The Photography Award & The New Media Award. Genesis are delighted to be supporting the new Photography Award for the competition.
American photographer Peyton Fulford has been announced the winner of the 2018 Firecracker Photographic Grant for her ongoing project ‘Infinite Tenderness’. This project is a highly personal account of growing up queer in a religious household in Southern America. She will receive funding from Firecracker and support with printing services from Genesis Imaging.
Callum Beaney presents his first solo show ‘The Space In Between.’ Callum graduated from Nottingham Trent University’s BA Photography programme in 2017 where his project ‘The Space In Between’ was awarded the Genesis Imaging & Lakeside Arts Bursary Award. This is comprised of £1000 of production services towards an exhibition of work one year after graduation. Made primarily in the forests and tracks surrounding his Suffolk home, ‘The Space In Between’ concerns the interconnectedness and transience of things, and the experience of time and space within them.
Genesis are delighted to once again be supporting The FORMAT International Photography Festival 2019 with a bursary of £1000 worth of our services – including Bespoke Framing and Professional Photographic Printing to aid one photographer, chosen from the portfolio walk, which takes place after the internationally renowned FORMAT Portfolio Reviews on Saturday 16th March 2019. FORMAT19 is delighted to announce the festival theme FOREVER//NOW and welcomes diverse and imaginative proposals from international photographers, curators, artists and collectives in response to this exciting dual concept.
Genesis are delighted to once again support The Firecracker Photographic Grant; an annual award providing funding to support a female photographer to aid in the completion of a documentary photographic project. Applications for the 2018 Firecracker Photographic Grant are now open.

Genesis Imaging are once again delighted to support the UK Picture Editors’ Guild annual awards as a sponsor of the Regional Photographer of the Year category. The UK Picture Editors’ Guild Awards recognise outstanding photography from the world of news, royalty, sport, business, fashion and entertainment. The awards were presented by Evening Standard Editor, George Osborne at the Honourable Artillery Company Headquarters on 12th March 2018. The winners received prizes from sponsors such as Bloomberg, British Airways, Fixation and Fujifilm at the annual Awards event.
