Their aim is to secure our extraordinary shared visual heritage and to build enjoyment and understanding of our photographic history. Travel Photographer of the Year 2017 – Overall Winner: Belgian born photojournalist, Alain Schroeder entered two portfolios in the ‘Tales of Adventure’ and ‘Celebration of Humanity’ categories. His entries exhibited tenderness in stories with an edge. In many countries death carries certain taboos but in others it is celebration of both ancestry and culture.

Genesis Imaging are once again delighted to support The FORMAT International Photography Festival 2017, the UK’s leading contemporary festival of Photography. In addition to this support we partnered with Fujifilm on the Genesis and Fujifilm Production Award – an award of £1000 worth of framing and printing (on Fujifilm Crystal Archive paper) which will be awarded to one photographer selected from the artists chosen to participate in this year’s festival.

Applications are now open for the 2017 Firecracker Grant; a £2000 fund supported by Genesis Imaging which helps a female documentary photographer complete a body of work.
Genesis support The Rhonda Wilson Award which has been created to recognize and celebrate the legacy of Rhonda Wilson MBE. The award celebrates new talent in photography, providing the recipient with support, exposure and opportunity to further their career as a fine art photographer.
