This year’s AOP Awards exhibition marks their 35th anniversary. Just over 240 finalists images are on display at Canary Wharf. The selection has been taken from the Photography Awards for Association Of Photographer’s members, the Open Awards aimed at non-members, to encourage non-professional photographers and the Student Awards open to those who were studying photography in 2018.
Thousands of entries have been whittled down by the AOP’s expert curators to select the qualifying still and moving images. These are currently exhibited in the splendid surroundings of One Canada Square where last year’s AOP50 exhibition was held. The winners of each award will be announced at the Awards Presentation Party on Tuesday 14 May.
The exhibition will run for 7 weeks starting in mid-April, making this year the longest running public exhibition in the Awards history.
Genesis are delighted to support this exhibition by producing all the exhibited works with our extensive Giclee Fine Art Printing Service.
About the AOP Awards:
The AOP Awards were devised as a showcase for the best in professional photography by AOP members. They were quickly joined by the Open Awards, aimed at non-members, to encourage the development of non-professional photographers. The Student Awards soon followed, open to all students studying photography helping them get their first major break into the industry. In 2014 both the member and open categories were combined into one main competition.
