Genesis is honoured to continue working with David Yarrow’s incredible images, providing bespoke framing and hand-wrapped window mounts for his latest exhibition, The Collection, at Maddox Gallery.

For nearly four decades, David Yarrow has worked in two complementary worlds: the instinctive pursuit of photographing wildlife in an authentic way and the cinematic staging of stories. In ‘The Collection’ these worlds play out in three acts—instinct, performance, and allure—brought together in his boldest exhibition to date, a career-defining showcase of predators, legends and icons.

The first act is instinct. In Alaska, Africa and beyond, Yarrow has endured barren days and brutal conditions, knowing that fortune favours research and access. Lions emerge like figures from myth, panthers move with quiet menace at dawn, and Siberian tigers advance in air so cold their breath becomes part of the scene. These are hard-earned frames, born of risk and persistence, where wildness offers no guarantees but rewards those relentless enough to earn its trust.

The second act is performance. Glamour collides with grit at the Minturn Saloon in ‘Code Red’, Wall Street excess plays out in all its bravado, and the frozen tracks of Colorado become a stage in ‘I Walk the Line’. Bond hotels, outlaw myths and desert bars follow, each one a performance, rich in parody, symbolism and the theatre of telling his stories.

The third act is allure. Ferraris roar across desert highways, and illustrious coastal havens like Palm Beach and the Amalfi shimmer with glamour. These works revel in colour, indulgence and escape, dreamscapes where beauty and desire are larger than life. Supermodels including the likes of Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne and Alessandra Ambrosio embody timeless archetypes: magnetic, poised, untouchable.

Together, these acts define ‘The Collection’. At Maddox Gallery, this October, wildlife and storytelling converge in one arena, presented with Yarrow’s signature ambition and uncompromising vision.
