We are delighted to once again be supporting The FORMAT International Photography Festival with their off-year programme and a bursary of £500 of our professional photographic and fine art services to aid one photographer, chosen from the portfolio reviews which are due to take place during the off-year programme.
In partnership with Redeye and the Flâneur, Procur.arte. 25+ international photography experts will be in Derby to review your work, joined by speakers and panelists at this not-to-be-missed networking event.
The National Photography Symposium
The National Photography Symposium, presented by Redeye, is the gathering place for ideas and discussion around photography. Now in its seventh edition, NPS 2016 will see leading experts in the field explore photography’s most pressing issues, including the challenges for photographers looking at making visual history, the new communities emerging at the intersection between photography and the digital economy, and issues of ethics and truth in photography. It’s strongly recommended for anyone interested in photography and the future of the medium.
The symposium begins on the evening of Wednesday 20th April with a keynote address, followed by a day of talks and panel discussions on Thursday 21st of April. On Friday 22nd April, the symposium will continue alongside the FORMAT Portfolio Review, with drop-in discussion sessions led by industry professionals.
The FORMAT International Portfolio Review Awards 2016
In the evening after the Portfolio Walk on 22 April, FORMAT will host the FORMAT Portfolio Review Awards at QUAD. All photographers booked for the review are nominees. The awards will be judged by the Reviewers or chosen judges. Prizes include (more prizes TBC):
