London Art Fair is an unmissable opening to the international art calendar, with the next edition taking place from 22-26 January 2020. Genesis are delighted to once again support the fair, which is in its 14th edition, through support to Photo50; an annual exhibition of contemporary photography which provides a critical forum for examining some of the most distinctive elements of current photographic practice.

Laura Noble has been appointed as the curator for the 2020 edition of Photo50, titled Occupy the Void. The exhibition will explore the vast pool of talented living female photographers aged over 50 and the cultural space’ they inhabit. The physical, psychological and ephemeral nature of our use of space and our perception of existing within it will be explored by a group of contemporary photographers and artists working in the UK and internationally. This reflective look at our lives both into and beyond the void, invites visitors to experience and reflect upon their own placement within the ideas explored in the art on display.

Occupy the Void will be an inclusive exhibition, presenting established names and artists at early stages of their career.
