As the year comes to a close, we take a moment to reflect on just a few of the exhibitions, events, and partnerships we’ve supported, along with the incredible clients and their projects that have made this year memorable. For 2025, we’re proud to celebrate the following highlights (in no particular order)

Metro Imaging becomes a part of Genesis Imaging

First things first, the big news… we recently announced that Metro Imaging was becoming a part of Genesis Imaging.

Many of Metro’s experienced team joined us in Fulham, helping to ensure a seamless continuation of the craft, care and technical excellence that both Genesis and Metro are known for.

For over four decades, Metro Imaging has been a major force in the industry, trusted by artists, photographers and institutions including the National Portrait Gallery, The Photographers’ Gallery, the V&A, Tate, Magnum Photos and more!

We are confident that this next chapter will further strengthen the services we provide and ensure you continue to receive the very best support for your creative work.

Genesis was honoured to continue working with David Yarrow’s incredible images, providing bespoke framing and hand-wrapped window mounts for his latest exhibition, The Collection, at Maddox Gallery.

For nearly four decades, David Yarrow has worked in two complementary worlds: the instinctive pursuit of photographing wildlife in an authentic way and the cinematic staging of stories. In ‘The Collection’ these worlds play out in three acts—instinct, performance, and allure—brought together in his boldest exhibition to date, a career-defining showcase of predators, legends and icons.

RCA Bursary

Chandni Raithatha, recipient of the Genesis Imaging x Royal College of Art bursary
Chandni Raithatha: ‘Dada’

This year we were proud to continue supporting students from the Royal College of Art’s MA Photography programme, awarding a £1000 bursary of credit towards our services.

Genesis was excited to award this year’s bursary is Chandni Raithatha for her project ‘Dada’. Chandni’s ability to engage with the complex and sensitive history of colonialism and migration stood out for its emotional depth, critical insight, and clarity of intention. We were particularly impressed by her thoughtful integration of archival materials with original photography to construct a rich, layered narrative. Her experimentation with multi-media installation and alternative printing methods reflects a bold and inquisitive practice that resonates strongly with the spirit of this bursary – supporting artists who push creative boundaries while addressing important themes.

Instagram Q&A Sessions

2025 saw us launch our weekly Q&A sessions for the month of September. We answered lots of your questions on all things printing, mounting, framing… and some just for fun too!

If you missed them, fear not! You can view all questions and answers on our Instagram story highlights!

Got more questions for us? Keep your eyes peeled… perhaps we’ll do some more Q&A sessions in 2026!

DIGITALISM at British Art Fair

This year, we were thrilled to work with Rebekah Tolley, curator of DIGITALISM at the British Art Fair, providing a wide range of services for so many incredible artists experimenting with digital art; from C-type, Giclée, Direct to Media and ChromaLuxe printing, to Perspex face mounting, bespoke framing and lightboxes!

FORMAT Festival 2025 Genesis Imaging Award

We were honoured to share that the winner of the Genesis Imaging Award for FORMAT Festival 2025 was Sujata Setia, whose powerful and moving project A Thousand Cuts stood out to us among many exceptional submissions. As part of the award, Sujata received £1000 credit for photographic or fine art printing/finishing services at Genesis.

Sujata is a UK-based Indian artist whose work sits at the intersection of photography and socially engaged art, exploring themes of abuse, cultural imperialism, and unarchived subaltern histories.

Sujata’s ‘A Thousand Cuts’ went on to be featured in the Wellcome Photography Prize 2025, and was selected as one of three winners! We’re so proud to have worked with Sujata on framing the beautiful and intricate works from this series.

Levon Biss: ‘Microsculpture’ at Oxford University Museum of Natural History

This year, Levon Biss’ breathtaking ‘Microsculpture’ was on show at Oxford University Museum of Natural History.

We’re honoured to have produced Direct to Media prints on recyclable Coala honeycomb-core card panels for this stunning exhibition.
