Each year the Royal Observatory in Greenwich holds the Insight Investment Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition. It’s the largest astrophotography competition of its kind, showcasing the best space photography from around the world.
To celebrate the tenth year of the competition, the National Maritime Museum has opened a new Photography Gallery to display these stunning images.
The 2018 exhibition is a retrospective of the last ten years of the competition. The 31 awe-inspiring 2018 winning images are on display alongside 69 of the best photographs from previous years.
This years judging panel welcomed: Sarah Pickering (British visual artist), Jon Culshaw (renowned comedian and keen amateur astronomer), Chris Bramley (Editor of BBC Sky at Night Magazine) and a host of experts in the worlds of art and astronomy.
Genesis are proud to have supported this exhibition with Duratran prints.
