1. Lisene. Lisene currently works as a manicurist in an upmarket salon. Working 6 days a week she has been able to save enough money to buy 2 cows for her brother who lives in the countryside and looks after her child. 1. Hungarian border police place their flashlight beam towards a Syrian family. They are fleeing from war to a safer place in Europe, approaching the continent through Croatia to Hungary on their ”Balkan route.” Before Hungary closed its border, refugees were coming day and night, by train, to the nearby train station at Botovo. Diverse work from thirty-one photographers have been selected from projects and single images submitted by photographers in over 120 countries on five continents and will be exhibited in May at Somerset House, alongside 25 finalists, for the second edition of Photo London fair. The exhibition will celebrate the diversity of these works and be suitably produced using a range of our extensive Exhibition Production Services.

The selection this year covers a wide spectrum: from the methodical use of a large-format camera to record the arc and wheel of celestial time to cutting-edge visions of contemporary pop cultures and sobering stories of forced migration that continue to captivate our attention. A small snapshot of which, is included here. The full selection of winners and finalists images can be found on the LensCulture website or in the Exposure Awards exhibition at Photo London, which is due to take place at Somerset House from 19 – 22 May 2016.
