We are delighted to once again support The Firecracker Photographic Grant; an annual award providing funding to support a female photographer to aid in the completion of a documentary photographic project.
Firecracker was established in 2001 by Fiona Rogers to promote European women working in photography. In 2012, Firecracker launched its inaugural photographic grant which has so far provided a combined £3000 alongside professional printing and finishing credits totalling £3,000 from us to support four female photographers working on documentary projects.
The Firecracker Photographic Grant 2015
Applications are now open to female photographers born or residing in Europe and submissions are judged by an independent panel of industry experts from diverse disciplines across the creative sectors; including picture editors, commissioners, art buyers and gallerists. Through a combination of self-initiated fundraising and our support, the 2015 grant fund is a minimum financial contribution of £1000 plus £1000 credit of professional photographic printing, mounting and bespoke framing services from Genesis.
