From many thousands of images entered in this year’s competition, Travel Photographer of the Year announces the photographers from 45 countries that have reached the final phase of judging in the 2016 competition.
The TPOTY 2016 sponsors (of which, Genesis are delighted to be one of) are providing a range of prizes for the awards and the winning photographers will see their work displayed at TPOTY exhibitions – including one at the University of Greenwich in London’s Maritime Greenwich UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The overall winner – the Travel Photographer of the Year 2016 – will be chosen from all entrants who submit at least two portfolios. In addition to receiving the international exposure that comes with winning TPOTY. Entrants submitting two or more portfolios in any of these categories will also automatically be eligible for overall top prize and the title of Travel Photographer of the Year 2016. The winner of the Best Single Image award in each portfolio category receives a Giclée Fine Art exhibition print from Genesis Imaging.

The results of this year’s competition will be announced on 14th December 2016. Best of luck to all shortlisted!
The final round of judging requires entrants to submit prints. All notified, shortlisted entrants are asked to provide prints by 20th November 2016. As a long-term partner with TPOTY, finalists can order prints for the final round of judging with a 50% discount on their order.

Below is the specification for those in the final stages of this year’s awards:
Prints are not to be larger than 30cm (12″) along the longest side. There is no requirement for prints to be 12″ at the longest size, so smaller than A4 is also acceptable.
Paper choice is not specified for the awards.
Please upload print-ready high-resolution files for printing. In addition, the high-res and raw files should be sent to TPOTY directly.
