The UK Picture Editors’ Guild Annual Awards has returned and Genesis Imaging are proud to once again sponsor of the Regional Photographer of the Year category.

The award annually recognises outstanding photography from Sport, Portrait, Arts and Entertainment, News, Regional, National newspaper, Business and Royal.

Additionally, for this year only, the category ‘Missing Years’ is added to recognise the time that missed due to COVID. It consists of twenty-five pictures that the photographer believes sum up the period between the awards.

Over four hundred entries were put before the panel of judges who were asked to shortlist the best photographers. The judges, led by former Sunday Times Picture Editor Ray Wells, deliberated for many hours to decide which of the images stood out in this exceptionally talented group.

It is now down to the public to decide the winners. Simply register here to submit your vote.

Once registered and voted, you will also be entered into a draw for two tickets to New York, courtesy of Norse Atlantic.

Best of luck to the candidates from all of us at Genesis Imaging.
