Genesis Imaging are once again delighted to support the UK Picture Editors’ Guild annual awards as a sponsor of the Regional Photographer of the Year category. The awards celebrate the exceptionally talented photographers working behind the lens throughout the media today.

Chair of the Judges and Picture Editor of the Independent Newspaper, Sophie Batterbury, commented that “The overall calibre of entries was exceedingly high this year, in several categories it was very difficult to choose a winning entry.”

Over 380 photographers entered, more than 2000 photographs were considered by the judges, and fifty per cent of entries received in the last few hours of the entry period.

The winners of the annual Picture Editors Guild Awards were announced by journalist and broadcaster Kate Silverton, at the Honourable Artillery Company in London on February 25th, 2016. A big congratulations from all at Genesis Imaging to the winners and highly commended photographers mentioned below.
