Great British Racing Drivers is a major photographic exhibition which celebrates over 100 of Britain’s most iconic drivers, past, present and future. Created by British photographer, Indira Flack, it aims to combine the driver’s off-track personalities with their motorsport stories. The Great British Racing Drivers’ Exhibition will be the first visiting exhibition to be featured at the brand-new £20 million Silverstone Experience.
In the last five years, Indira has travelled over 15,000 miles, capturing more than 100 drivers, starting with ‘the greatest driver never to have won the world championship’ the legend that is Sir Stirling Moss, closely followed by the late, great John Surtees and Sir Jackie Stewart to name a few.
Until April 2020, GBRD will exhibit within the new Silverstone Experience. Visitors to the Silverstone Experience will enjoy an exciting two-and-a-half-hour journey through the past, present and future of motor racing and the heritage of the Silverstone site. State of the art interactive displays and exhibitions will tell the fascinating stories of human endeavour, great sporting rivalries and engineering innovation.
A selection of the prints will also be up for auction to raise money for Sir Jackie Stewart’s charity, Race Against Dementia. With personal family experience of dementia, Indira is working with Race Against Dementia to organise a fundraising auction of selected prints for the global charity, to fund pioneering research into the prevention and cure of dementia.
Genesis are delighted to support Indira’s exhibition with the production of Bespoke PhotoTex Wallpaper, Foamex Mounts and Direct to Foamex Prints.
