The Majesty of the Horse:
The Majesty of the Horse II follows the highly successful first exhibition of Nur’s works, shown at The Show Room Presents in September 2016. The Majesty of the Horse II presents Nur’s works as Direct to Media prints on brushed aluminum and jute.
About Nur Tucker:
Nur Tucker spent more than two decades as an investment banker in London. Two years ago she waved goodbye to the bulls and bears of finance to engage with her true passion, photography – and some real animals. Having started with underwater photography some 20 years ago, over time Nur’s cameras entered the digital age and her expeditions became truly amphibious.
She is passionate about the enigma behind how horses have had such an effect on humans throughout civilisation and accross many cultures.
Nur on capturing the White Horses of Camargue:
“The horses of Camargue are white and they are wild. Watching them gallop across salt lakes is breathtaking; imagine a herd of 40 stallions running towards you, emerging from the water. When they are close enough, their ears perk up, and water splashes everywhere. Your senses become overwhelmed with the sounds of the horses galloping in water and the smells of the surrounding areas. How can you not capture that scene?”
