In 2018, Sir John Soane's Museum will host a striking presentation of three works by the artist Emily Allchurch in the Foyle Space. Her practice involves the contemporary re-creation of historic artworks using a complex technique of digital collage of her own original photography. Emily will exhibit pieces closely inspired by significant works in the Museum's collections: Public and Private Buildings Executed by Sir John Soane between 1780 and 1815 (1818) and Architectural Visions of Early Fancy (1820), both by J.M. Gandy; as well as Piranesi's Imaginary View of the Ancient Intersection of the Via Appia and Via Ardentina, Rome (1756).

Edmund Clark has been Ikon's artist-in-residence (2014-17) at Britain's only therapeutic prison, HMP Grendon in Buckinghamshire. An artist with a longstanding interest in the incarceration and its effects, this exhibition showcases the body of work he has developed in response to the prison and helping to facilitate the prisoners' own creative output.

La Caravane is homecoming exhibition of the British-Moroccan artist, Hassan Hajjaj showcasing his vibrant fusion of contemporary cultures through new and celebrated works. Born and raised in Larache, Hajjaj moved to the UK aged twelve, but has spent much of his life travelling between the two countries and cultures. His artworks reflect his nomadic lifestyle and the relationships he has formed with a variety of characters along the way, from musicians to artists and athletes to street performers.
