Have you spotted our adverts in The British Journal of Photography?
We’ve been featuring a series of adverts covering some of the innovations that we’re most proud of. For almost 20 years, our commitment to innovation and cutting-edge technology has kept us at the forefront of professional photographic printing, mounting and framing and from our roots as a conventional photographic lab, we have evolved to suit the ever-changing needs of our clients across the creative industries. See the first three from our ‘innovation’ series below.
Back in 2001, Genesis became the first professional lab in London to embrace new C-type printing technology with the introduction of the Durst Lambda printer – one of the finest digital C-type printers available. 14 years later, we are still committed to cutting-edge technology and innovation. Of the many events and innovations that happened in 2013, Genesis were the first professional photographic lab in London to introduce Direct to Media UV Printing for the photographic and art markets. This innovation opened up new possibilities for artists and photographers to print images and artwork direct to a whole host of substrates, including (but not limited to) wood, metal, glass, rubber – even concrete. Most recently, in 2014, we introduced ChromaLuxe Fine Art Printing to our extensive list of professional photographic and fine art printing services. With the look of traditional Cibachrome prints, these prints are archival, waterproof, fire resistant, abrasion resistant, chemical resistant and exclusive in London to Genesis Imaging. Learn more…
We’re taking a look back at 2007, when alongside some other events that you might remember, Genesis Imaging introduced an extensive range of bespoke photographic finishing services and became the first professional photographic lab in London to offer professional printing, mounting and bespoke framing services completely in-house. We have since expanded and developed these services, but one thing hasn’t changed since 2007 – our commitment to the highest quality.
Alongside some of the perhaps more obscure innovations of 2008, Glass Face Mounting was introduced to our already extensive printing and finishing services. Alongside this completely unique service, Perspex Face Mounting was added – providing a more lightweight mounting option with the same flawless high-gloss finish.
We’ve rounded up our series of adverts, with a (somewhat festive) look back at some of our biggest achievements and the innovations that have kept us at the forefront of professional photographic printing and finishing for almost 20 years. Happy festive season!
