Why print your Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize entry with Genesis Imaging?
Genesis Imaging has a long history of producing exceptional prints for photographers entering the competition and our experienced printing team understands how to produce images to the quality expected for the awards.
Year on year, we are proud to see clients that we have printed for feature in the photographic portrait prize exhibition at The National Portrait Gallery – such as David Stewart, who was in 2015 awarded the prestigious first prize in the competition after having 15 images included in the competition since 1996 and Spencer Murphy, whose image of Katie Walsh was announced as the overall winner of the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize in 2013.
About the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2017:
This year there are two rounds of judging; the first will take place digitally where the Photographer will be required to upload their image(s) at the entry form stage. Photographers who are then selected for the second round of judging will be required to complete a biographical form, a model release form and provide a physical print of their work.
Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize Print Information and Pricing
The rules state that each photograph must be un-mounted and on paper, metal or other suitable surfaces, no larger than 1015 x 760mm and 20 kilos in weight (there are no limitations on how small a work can be and the image may be smaller than the paper size.) The photographer must write their name, address, daytime telephone, email address and title of work (indicating if it is part of a series if relevant) on the back of each photograph and all works must be submitted in either transparent protective sleeves (preferred) or similar transparent cover in order to protect during judging.
Prints are required to be submitted in a protective sleeve (as above, we will supply these for images printed here at Genesis) and include all relevant label details (if supplied by the photographer).
