As the year comes to a close, we take a moment to reflect on the exhibitions, events, and partnerships we’ve supported, along with the incredible clients and their projects that have made this year memorable. For 2024, we’re proud to celebrate the following highlights (in no particular order)…
Emily Allchurch: ‘The Six Seasons’ at James Freeman Gallery
Genesis was honoured to have supported and produced C-type prints for Emily Allchurch’s amazing solo exhibition ‘The Six Seasons’ at James Freeman Gallery.
The works re-imagine Bruegel the Elder’s 1565 ‘Cycle of Seasons’, using assemblages of thousands of photographs taken in the contemporary English landscapes of East Sussex, Kent, Devon, Somerset and Shropshire.
“As we live through our own period of climate change I wanted to update the series from a contemporary perspective, reflecting on the fragility of nature and the seasons as we have known them, and how our interventions with landscape, mostly through leisure and tourism, are managed and mediated.
With its focus on the everyday and ordinary, and a subtle underlying commentary on how we connect with nature and the landscape today, I hope ‘The Six Seasons’ series successfully captures our present moment in time.”
Zoë Law: ‘LEGENDS’ at National Portrait Gallery
It was an absolute privilege to work with the incredibly talented photographer Zoë Law on her remarkable exhibition ‘LEGENDS’ at National Portrait Gallery, producing bespoke Fabric Lightboxes and Giclée Fine Art (Pigment) Prints mounted to Dibond.
The series, which began in 2017, is a testament to Law’s artistic vision and her ability to capture the essence of her subjects in striking black-and-white portraits. With her background in music and makeup artistry, Law brings a unique perspective to her photography, creating images that are both intimate and impactful.
Aneesa Dawoojee (again!): ‘Only Human’ at The Royal Albert Hall
We were extremely excited and proud that our friend and client Aneesa Dawoojee’s work from her exhibition, ‘Only Human’, was displayed on the walls of the Ground Floor Corridor at The Royal Albert Hall!
September 2023 saw the opening of Aneesa’s solo exhibition at the Royal Photographic Society Gallery, Bristol, awarded after her success in the 163rd edition of the RPS International Photography Exhibition (IPE). The work featured in the IPE 163 from her series ‘The Fighting Spirit of South London’ also earned her the RPS Fellowship. The images of martial artist and combat sports athletes from gyms near Aneesa’s home reveal strength, resilience, fortitude and hope to overcome life’s challenges.
‘March of the Hummingbirds‘, her new series, tells the story of the Caribbean community in the UK with a view to share a little of its rich history. It is a colourful, and often joyous story of a multicultural community who are keen to share their stories of adventure, love, and hope for the children in Britain.

Simon Hill: Portraits of Kindertransport refugees acquired by National Portrait Gallery
This year The National Portrait Gallery in London acquired two portraits of Kindertransport refugees from a series made by photographer Simon Hill HonFRPS. The photographs will be held in the gallery’s Permanent Collection. Genesis is honoured to have printed both portraits as Giclée Fine Art Prints on Hahnemühle Baryta paper.
The portraits, of Alfred Dubs (The Right Honourable The Lord Dubs, Baron Dubs of Battersea) (born 1932) and of Vera Scaufeld MBE (born Vera Lowyova, 1930), were made for Warner Brothers Pictures in October 2023.
The portraits were commissioned by Warner Brothers Pictures to celebrate the European première of the film ‘One Life’ (dir. James Hawes) at the 2023 London Film Festival.
The film ‘One Life’ – starring Sir Anthony Hopkins, Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Flynn – tells the true story of Sir Nicholas Winton MBE, a British stockbroker and humanitarian who rescued 669 children, mainly Jewish, at risk of being murdered by Nazi Germany during the Holocaust.
The portraits, together with those of nine other Kindertransport refugees taken by Hill, were first seen in December 2023 at a special event hosted by Warner Brothers Pictures at the National Portrait Gallery and were subsequently included in an online exhibition hosted by the gallery and created in partnership with Warner Brothers Pictures to coincide with the release of ‘One Life’. Gayle Chong Kwan: ‘The Taotie’ at Compton Verney
Genesis is delighted to have produced Giclée Prints and Spacer Frames for longstanding friend and client Gayle Chong Kwan’s exhibition, ‘The Taotie’, which is currently on show at Compton Verney until March 2026!
The exhibition explores themes of identity, diaspora, and historical narratives through photographic self-portraits, where Chong Kwan wears masks made from archival images.

Hew Locke: ‘Raw Materials 27’ at the British Academy
Genesis is honoured to have provided Bespoke Framing Services for Guyanese-British artist Hew Locke’s piece, ‘Raw Materials 27’, a 2-metre-tall collage on display at the British Academy.
‘Raw Materials 27’ is a powerful collage that addresses themes of slavery, colonialism, and historical legacy. Unveiled at the British Academy, the 2-meter-tall piece draws on Locke’s personal connections to Guyana, referencing its crumbling colonial buildings, the rubber barons of Brazil, and the slave trade that fueled their wealth. The work is displayed in a building once owned by William Gladstone, whose family benefited from Caribbean plantations and slavery, adding a poignant context. Locke’s piece resonates with ongoing conversations about Britain’s colonial past, especially in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement, which has intensified scrutiny of historical injustices. This work is part of Locke’s broader practice, which confronts the intersections of race, politics, and history.
